Talk about a meal change in the White House. Bush didn't care for anything "green" or "wet" but the Obamas eat a lot of fresh food, the NY Daily News reports.
Here's the three chefs in the running for White House chef: Art Smith, who prepared Obama's meal at Oprah's fund-raiser for the candidate; Rick Bayless, owner of Chicago Mexican restaurants Topolobampo and Frontera Grill; and Daniel Young, who cooked for Obama at the Democratic Convention, the paper says.
So who's in the running for White House Gardener?

So Dubyuh doesn't eat collards (which are both wet and green)?
Why am I *not* surprised?

Drat! I was hoping for Chris Cosentino!
As much as I admire Mr. Obama, I fear he has swallowed the low fat/high carb propaganda. It's time for a change!

How do I apply for White House Gardener? I'm sure the pay is much better than what I'm doing now . . . we'll make it organic too!
Hope the Pres. likes garlic ;-)

Hey Sam, I'm hearing from some other food writers that it's going to be Art Smith. ~~C

It would be cool if they planted an organic veg garden at the WH

The South lawn on the White House would be a perfect location, facing the Wash Monument, but that's also where they have their big outdoor shindigs. It could be a modest garden though integrated into the setting
